ð Morning crew, happy first day of spring! ðŧ
I've been having many convos surrounding sunscreen lately, so I thought I'd *gently* encourage you to make sure you're wearing it every day, rain or shine, 365! Even if you live in a country known for grey skies and rain like me. ðĪŠ
If you're looking for sustainable options, check out REN skincare - they've got you and the ocean in mind with their Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30 sunscreen. Here are some fun facts and tips:
âïļ They spent 6 years working on this product, inside and out... read on to learn more!
âïļ The packaging is made with recycled plastic and is easy to recylce for yet another life.
âïļ They don't use oxybenzone, avobenzone, or nano-zinc oxide, just zinc oxide in its non-nano form, making it safer for our reefs.
âïļ This non-nano zinc is known for leaving a white cast, making this product a bit tricky for darker skin tones (but I have a tip!)
âïļ I love mixing this sunscreen, the last step of my daily skincare routine, with a guilty pleasure of mine: the ByTerry CC Serum in sunny flash (which comes in a glass bottle!) It helps blend the white cast of this sunscreen with something that matches my skin tone better, so have a play with some liquid or serum-style bronzers and foundations to mix in.
âïļ Don't forget to use the optimum amount of sunscreen too; you should aim for 1/2 a teaspoon (or the size of a 5p coin for the brits ð)
ð Make sure you wash your face at the end of the day, preferably a double cleanse - check out @skindistrict for some fabulous skincare deets and recommendations - she's influenced me LOADS. ðĨ° âïļ
