Lavender ACV Hair Rinse
This recipe is so easy to make and customise depending on your hair needs. Plus, if you use diffusers, you probably have a few of these essential oils laying around the house. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is also a fantastic staple to keep around the house, you can find it in so many health, cooking, beauty and cleaning hacks. I put lavender in this recipe for how beautiful it smells as well as its ability to help hair growth and promote relaxation. The ACV in this recipe is truly the MVP as it is known to help strengthen hair and improve shine by balancing out hair and scalp pH. Additionally, feel free to add in, take out the current essential oil mix in order to suit your hair needs!
Ingredients
1 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Dried Lavender
3-5 Tea Tree Oil Drops
Other Ingredients to Consider
Tea Tree oil - known for its ability to cleanse while having antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties*
Rosemary oil - known to improve hair thickness and help growth, while improving cellular generation*
Thyme oil - can help promote hair growth while actively preventing hair loss*
Clary Sage oil - is known to improve hair strength, boost hair growth and overall make hair more difficult to break*
Cedarwood oil - known for promoting hair growth, reducing hair loss while also having antifungal and antibacterial properties*
Argan oil - full of fatty acids that help your hair maintain moisture, prevent frizziness, and boost shine*
Aloe - known for calming an itchy scalp, deep cleaning oily hair, strengthening and repairing hair as well as stimulating growth*
Directions:
Mix the ACV and water. I like to do this in a measuring cup like this and start with 1 cup of water, then top it up to 1 cup and ¼ with the ACV to avoid dirtying other kitchenware.
Pour into your upcycled REN Skincare bottle. Then add in your essential oils and lavender flowers, whatever you may choose.
Screw the pump or cap back on and shake, shake, shake 💃
Voila!
How to use
After shampoo and conditioner, stay in the shower (turn the water off) then pump up to 5 tablespoons into your scalp and hair.
Massage into your head and leave for 1-3 minutes
Rinse and enjoy!
